Trena L. Bennett is President and Founder of GospelCise Fitness & Wellness Ministries Inc. Ms. Trena Louise is an active member of the Mt. Erie Baptist Church, in San Diego, California. She is a Sunday school teacher, youth supervisor, children church servant, chairperson of the youth outreach/retreat ministry, dedicated members of the Sunday school reach out ministry and a devoted Christian woman. All under the ministry and leadership of Dr. Walter G. Wells. She is the Daughter of Alfred Lee and Betty Bennett. Also, she is the Director of the Lopez Ridge Recreation Center for the City of San Diego, where she motivates and encourages people to get fit in both her personal and professional life. As the director of the Lopez Ridge Recreation Center, she worked as the liaison and coordinator for the Park and Recreation Department’s partnership with San Diego State University Child Obesity MOVE/Me Project, which ended May 2010. She continues to carry on with the goals of the MOVE/Me Muevo Project, using the “GET MOVING Newsletter” to pass along tips and recommendations. Trena also founded GospelCise Fitness and Wellness Ministry in 2002, tying together her love of exercise, and her faith. GospelCise holds fitness ministries opportunities and programs at churches and community organizations. “The Vision is to empower, teaches Spiritual Truth from the Bible and to educate believers and non believers to connect to a healthy spirit, mind and body. GospelCise Ministries offers many free exercise classes at local recreation centers, churches and senior buildings Monday through Saturday.” GospelCise offers classes in zumba, kickboxing, healthy eating, fit for Kids and more. Ms. Bennett stays fit by teaching and serving God’s church. She is a graduate of SDSU with an undergraduate degree in Political science (African American Studies) and Physical education with professional certification in fitness management, nutrition, marketing, business, entrepreneurship in fitness, and completing a master in global business marketing merchandise and soon in seminary. She values family and community involvement and knows that the Lord is the most important factor in having a healthy soul, spirit, mind and body.
Ms. Trena Louise is truly learning the importance of standing firm in the Lord. Her favorite Scripture is Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”. Her objectives are to teach, serve, work and help individuals to reach their true potential and Divine purpose in a spiritual an educational environment, this will enable her to support and enable you to gain Godly wisdom, knowledge on how to improve your mental, spiritual and physical wholeness God’s way. Furthermore, to help all develop a strong Christ-like image, self worth, and Godly confidence. She is a mature effective leader, ambitious, professional, friendly, reliable, flexible, committed and adaptable to new procedures and changing responsibilities. Through her diverse menu of programming, collaboration and strategic marketing, this ministry will continue to be recognized as an organization for health, sports, outreach and fitness throughout the world.
